Catalyst Coated Membrane (CCM) 5 cm²

Catalyst coated membranes (CCM) consist of a membrane with catalytic coatings on anode and cathode side. The CCM can be used in acidic water electrolysis (PEM) to generate hydrogen via water splitting. 

Area of the electrode ~2.24 cm x ~2.24 cm = 5 cm²
Area of the membrane: 8 cm x 8 cm x = 64 cm² or 10 cm x 10 cm = 100 cm² (These are our standard sizes. If you need a customization of dimensions, please contact us.)

Membranes
1) Nafion® N115
2) Nafion® N212

Anodes
1) Umicore Elyst Ir75 0480 (75% Iridium as Iridium(IV)oxide on oxidic support, geometric catalyst loading: 1.0 or 2.0 mg/cm²) with Nafion® as an ionomer binding agent.

Cathodes
1) Umicore Elyst Pt/C (50wt%Pt, geometric catalyst loading: 0.5 or 1.0 mg/cm², other loadings on request) with Nafion® as an ionomer binding agent.
